The Wooden Duck and Duckling were designed in the 1959 by renowned Danish Architect Hans Bølling to honor and celebrate acts of kindness. These beautiful handcrafted figures were inspired by a heartwarming event in 1959 when a policeman stopped traffic to help a family of ducks safely cross a busy road in Denmark. The moment captured the hearts of onlookers and became a symbol of compassion, later immortalized by these iconic wooden figures.
